If you are looking for a charming place to have a ladies tea, mommy/daughter day, or simply to get away from the rat race for a bit, step into McHugh Tea Room. From the impressive tea bar to the "celebrity tea wall" to the teapot and cups scattered about, McHugh hits the mark for fun and whimsical decor. The tea service set up is top notch, with tailored tea sandwiches, dainty desserts, and a vast array of tea flavors to select and enjoy. They also have a great menu of quiche, scones, salads, soups, and sandwiches to enjoy. I had the grilled cheese combo, which came with a full sandwich, cup of soup, and choice of carrot salad or fruit cup at a very reasonable price. The service was excellent as was the food. I will definitely be back!

I stopped by McHugh's by myself after a full day of travel from NY to Houston for business, and it was exactly what I needed. After being in airports and cars all day, walking into this cute little tea room felt like such a nice reset. The decor is charming and the whole space has a calm, welcoming feel, perfect for unwinding solo. Nicole was my server and she was wonderful. She could tell I'd had a long travel day and took great care of me without being intrusive, checked in at just the right moments and gave helpful suggestions on the tea and food since it was my first time there. It's the kind of attentive service that makes eating alone feel completely comfortable. The food itself was fresh and well presented, a really nice way to decompress after a stressful day of travel. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Houston for work, and I'll be hoping Nicole is working. She turned a tiring travel day into a genuinely relaxing stop.

Love the experience we had here. The Servers were very friendly and knowledgeable and the food and atmosphere was fantastic. I am very impressed with the staff here and will be back again and again

Good service, delicious assortment of teas. A little pricy for what it is. Had the tea service, with tax and tip $70 a person. 2 sandwiches, a pinwheel and assortment of dessert items. 2 scones, not pictured. A great place to treat yourself if you have a sweet tooth and a group of gal pals.

I have been having tea at McHugh’s for many years. Having spent part of my childhood in England I love the atmosphere and incredible selections of teas. It is my good to place to celebrate special occasions. My sons know how much I enjoy McHugh’s so they presented we with a gift card for my birthday. I was able to celebrate with three dear friends, two of which had never been. We all loved our time there.
